TeeTalk
The country club, in your pocket
A premium handicap tracker and social locker room for serious golfers. Live handicap, 14-day trends, club leaderboards, friends' rounds, and a digital member card that travels across every club you play.

The Challenge
Why this matters
Golf membership is fragmented. Members at multiple clubs juggle paper handicap cards, club apps that don't talk to each other, and outdated leaderboards. Tracking apps feel like fitness trackers — clinical, generic, and stripped of the social energy that makes a clubhouse what it is. TeeTalk needed to combine the data serious golfers want with a design that actually feels like a country club.
Our Approach
How we tackled it
Interviewed golfers across handicap levels and club memberships to map the rituals around posting a round, comparing handicaps, and trash-talking the locker room
Built a typography-forward visual identity — serif headlines, paper textures, clubhouse green — that signals premium without feeling stuffy
Designed a live handicap engine with 14-day trend visualization so members feel the dopamine of each round, not just the index
Created The Locker Room — a social feed of friends' rounds with heat strips, milestones, and money-on-the-line side bets
Built a portable digital member card with a multi-club switcher so members at three clubs (and guests at four more) carry them all on a single luggage tag
The Solution
What we built
TeeTalk ships as a cross-platform mobile app with real-time handicap calculations, club tee-sheet integrations, and a feed-based social layer. Six core surfaces — handicap, trend, home club, locker room, member card, and multi-club switcher — were each designed to stand on their own as App Store screenshots, while feeling like one cohesive clubhouse.
